Mae Mike wedi bod yn chwarae'r melodeon D/G ers deg ar hugain mlynedd, gan arbenigo mewn cerddoriaeth ddawns Cymru a Lloegr. Mae hefyd yn brofiadol ar y consertina Seisnig ac yn un o hoelion wyth Clwb Gwerin Llantrisant ac yn adnabyddus yng ngwyliau gwerin dros Brydain.
Yn ddawnsiwr brwd ei hunan, mae galw mawr am ei gerddoriaeth ar gyfer twmpathau dawns, stepio, dawnsio Morys, dawnsio cleddyf
defodol a dawnsiau cymdeithasol Cymreig.
Bydd yn dysgu setiau o'i restr eang o alawon traddodiadol Cymreig mewn dosbarth ar gyfer chwaraewyr offerynnau acwstig alaw a chyfeiliant.

Welsh tunes for all
for any acoustic instrument

Mike has been playing D/G melodeon for three decades, specialising in the dance music of England and Wales. He is also a skilled exponent of the English concertina and has been prominent in the Welsh folk scene and the Llantrisant folk Club in partricular for many years
A keen dancer himself, his music is always in great demand for twmpathau, clog-step, Morris, ritual sword and Welsh social dances.
He will be teaching sets from his extensive repertoire of Welsh traditional tunes in a class that covers both melody and accompaniment and is suitable for a wide range of acoustic instrument players.

Kate yw ffliwtydd a chwibanoglydd y band gwerin blaenllaw Allan yn y Fan a chanddi ddealltwriaeth eang o gerddoriaeth draddodiadol Gymreig.
Mae gan Kate brofiad eang fel athrawes a threfnydd yn ei rôl fel Cyfarwyddwraig Celf i'r Blaen yng nghymoedd Blaenau Morgannwg, yn trefnu gweithdai ei hunan ar gyfer Sesiwn dros Gymru ym Mlaenafon.

Bydd hi'n datblygu gallu chwaraewyr offerynnau chwyth i frawddegu a lliwio er mwyn sicrhau bod ysbryd
alaw draddodiadol yn cael ei gyflwyno. Bydd yn defnyddio nifer o alawon Cymreig fel enghreifftiau ac yn cynnig cyngor ymarferol i chwaraewyr.

How to phrase and embellish Welsh tunes
for flute, whistle and recorder players
Kate is the flautist and whistler of leading folk band  Allan yn y Fan with very wide knowledge and understanding of Welsh tradtitional music.
Kate has much experience as a teacher and organiser and has in her role as the Director of Head4Arts  in the Gwent valleys organised her own workshops in Balenavon for Sesiwn dros Gymru.
She will develop wind players' abilities to phrase and embellish to ensure that the spirit of a traditional tune emerges, using
a number of traditional Welsh tunes as examples and offer practical advice.

  Yn ogystal a bod yn ffidlwr a chwaraewr pibau, pibgorn a'r liwt, mae Gerard yn grëwr a chywirwr fiolin. Mae'n rhan o deulu amlwg ffidlwyr a cherddorion draddodiadol De Cymru sydd wedi bod yn flaenllaw mewn adfywiad cerddoriaeth a dawns draddodiadol yng Nghymru am y deugain mlynedd diwethaf.
Mae Gerard wedi perfformio a recordio gydag eiconau cerddoriaeth draddodiadol Cymru fel
Yr Hwntws, Fernhill, Ffawd, Pibau Bach, Kbros, Juice, Boys from the Hill, Triban a Carreg Lafar ac yn ddiweddar cyd-ffurfiodd y band Taran.

How to phrase and embellish Welsh tunes
for string players

Gerard KilBride plays fiddle, pipes,  pibgorn and the lute, as well as being a practising violin maker and restorer,  and pibgorn maker. He is part of a large South Wales family of fiddlers and traditional musicians, who have been at the forefront of the traditional music and dance revival in Wales for the last 40 years.
Gerard has performed and recorded with some of Wales's Traditional Music Icons including, Yr Hwntws, Fernhill, Ffawd, Pibau Bach, Kbros, Juice, Boys from the Hill, Triban and Carreg Lafar and recently co- created the band Taran.

There is a wide range of food and drink establishments in the area, including the Weatherspoon Inn The Gatekeeper just across the road in Womanby Street.

Lôn fach ar gyfer cerddwyr yw Stryd Womanby gyferbyn y Castell yng nghanol y ddinas, rhwng y Stryd Fawr a Stryd Porth y Gorllewin (Westgate) sydd yn rhedeg heibio Stadiwm y Mileniwm a Chlwb Rygbi Caerdydd ac felly yn hawdd i'w gyrraedd ar fws neu drên i ganol y ddinas. Dylai fod llefydd parcio ym maes parcio Clwb Rygbi Caerdydd gyferbyn gwesty'r Angel ar Stryd Westgate ac mae ardal parcio talu-ac-arddangos 5 awr tu cefn i'r Amgueddfa a Neuadd y Ddinas.
 
Transport and Parking
Womanby Street is a small pedestrinaised lane opposite Cardiff Castle in the centre of the city, between High Street and Westgate Street which adjoins the Millenniwm Stadium and the Cardiff rugby ground, so is easily accessible by bus and train to the city centre.
There should be parking space available in the Cardiff Rugby ground across Westgate street from the Angel Hotel, and there is street pay-and-display parking in the 5-hour slots. behind the museum and City Hall.
